Walk-In Dust Chamber 40 m³ – Titan Series (IP5X / IP6X)

Walk-in dust chamber for IP5X and IP6X tests on large and heavy equipment: switchgear, drives, battery and power cabinets, EV chargers. The specimen rolls in on a 4-tonne trolley through a 2.5 m double door. Ten independently controlled blowers keep the talc in suspension: suction through slotted stainless coves along the floor, the wheel channels and the central island, return through blowing coves along the ceiling and a central roof grille.

Test Principle & Function
The chamber follows IEC 60529 clause 13.4: talc at 2 kg per m³ of test volume is kept in suspension around the specimen. For Category 1 enclosures the vacuum unit holds the specimen below atmospheric pressure (up to 2 kPa); the totalising flow meter and the controller apply the 2 h / 80 volumes / 8 h rule automatically. Category 2 enclosures are tested without vacuum.
The heated stainless floor keeps the talc dry and free-flowing between and during tests. Specimen power and signal cables enter through a sealed gland plate in the rear wall.
