The Ormity IPX1 IPX2 Drip Box Manifold is a configurable precipitation distribution unit designed for laboratories performing IEC 60529 ingress protection testing.

This product is supplied as a standalone drip manifold system and can be:

  • Wall-mounted

  • Ceiling suspended

  • Installed on adjustable height frames

  • Integrated into custom test chambers

  • Mounted over tilt tables or rotating platforms

It is intended for laboratories that require flexibility in installation while maintaining strict compliance and repeatability.

Engineered for IEC 60529 IPX1 and IPX2

Designed in accordance with IEC 60529 clauses 14.2.1 and 14.2.2, the system supports:

  • IPX1 vertical dripping

  • IPX2 dripping with 15° tilt condition

Nozzle spacing follows the required 20 mm × 20 mm grid configuration to ensure uniform precipitation across the test surface.

 

SS316L Stainless Steel Manifold Architecture

 

The internal water distribution network is fully constructed from SS316L stainless steel, providing:

  • Corrosion resistance

  • Dimensional stability

  • Long service life

  • Suitability for filtered recirculated systems

This industrial approach avoids the instability and degradation common in low-cost aluminum or improvised tubing assemblies.

 

Threaded M5 Stainless Micronozzles (0.4 mm Orifice)

 

Each precipitation outlet consists of:

  • Precision-machined M5 threaded stainless steel micronozzles

  • 0.4 mm orifice

  • Individually replaceable units

This eliminates the fragility and deformation risks associated with adapted hypodermic needle designs often found in entry-level equipment.

 

The threaded configuration ensures:

  • Stable vertical alignment

  • Safe handling

  • Repeatable droplet formation

  • Easy maintenance and ultrasonic cleaning

  • CHOOSING THE BEST DRIP BOX MANIFOLD

    Please select the dimension of the drip box manifold that best fits your needs; please take in mind that your sample, when tilted 15 degrees, will need an extra 100mm because of the eccentricity of sample dislocation over the turn table, as per the Norm requirement. Please read article 14.2. and 14.2.2 of the IEC 60529. Also, consider that the equipment has a util area, the manifold outer dimension, and less 10mm margin around.
