Heavy Duty Turntables

Ormity Heavy Duty Turntables – Precision. Reliability. Configurability.

Ormity’s Heavy Duty Turntables are engineered for high-performance testing environments where precision, durability, and flexibility are critical. Designed to support a wide range of applications—including IP testing, industrial validation, and custom laboratory setups—these turntables provide stable and controlled rotation for equipment under test (EUT).

Manufactured in SS316L stainless steel, all models offer exceptional resistance to corrosion and harsh environments, making them suitable for both indoor and demanding industrial conditions. Each unit is built with a +30% overload capacity, ensuring long-term reliability even under intensive use.

The product line is structured around a modular configuration system, allowing customers to define the exact specifications required for their application. Capacities range from 10 kg up to 1,000 kg (1 ton), with diameter options up to Ø1000 mm depending on the selected load class.

A key engineering advantage of Ormity turntables is the use of high-precision DC servo motors, ensuring smooth, accurate, and fully controllable rotation. The system architecture is designed so that only low-voltage DC is present at the rotating table, while all control and power electronics are managed externally and remotely.

This approach significantly reduces operational risk, as no high-voltage AC is present on the rotating platform. As a result, the residual risk is primarily limited to failures of the test sample (EUT), which remains under the responsibility of the operator and can be effectively mitigated through proper handling procedures and adequate training.

To support complex testing setups, Ormity turntables can be equipped with:

  • Cable pass-through systems, enabling clean routing of instrumentation cables

  • Slip ring assemblies (up to 3 poles, 10A / 16A / 20A, or custom upon request), allowing continuous electrical connection during rotation

  • Optional 5° tilt mechanism, for advanced test positioning and angular exposure

Rather than selecting from fixed models, customers can configure their own unit using a structured SKU system—ensuring clarity, repeatability, and precise alignment with project requirements.
