IPX3 IPX4 Rain Test Equipment

Oscillating Tube and Spray Systems for IEC 60529 Rain Testing

IPX3 and IPX4 tests evaluate the resistance of electrical enclosures and products to water spray and simulated rainfall conditions. These tests are defined in the IEC 60529 standard and are widely used to verify ingress protection ratings for equipment exposed to outdoor environments.

IPX3 testing simulates water sprayed at angles up to 60 degrees from vertical using oscillating tube systems or controlled spray nozzles. IPX4 testing exposes the specimen to water splashing from all directions, representing more severe environmental exposure.

Ormity manufactures professional IPX3 and IPX4 rain test equipment designed for accurate and repeatable laboratory testing. Our systems include oscillating tube testers and spray chambers engineered to meet IEC 60529 testing requirements.

These tests are commonly performed on lighting equipment, electrical enclosures, industrial control panels, outdoor electronics and automotive components requiring protection against rain and water spray.

Our rain test systems are designed for reliability, precise water flow control and long-term use in industrial compliance laboratories.
